PARISH BARBECUE
Our parish BBQ will take place after the 11am Mass in St Francis of Assisi on Sunday 14th June.
It is a free event, but we ask that you leave a donation for food and drinks. There will be a marquee for refreshments and another for kids’ activities. The forecast looks good this year so lots for the kids to do outdoors. Our thanks to the 30 or so volunteers who helped set up and to all who are helping on the day.

SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR DAY FOR LIFE
This year’s theme is ‘ The Wonder of the Child in the Womb’ and reflects on the humanity of the unborn child and acknowledges, with compassion, the deep grief experienced by parents who lose a child before or shortly after birth.

SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR PETER’S PENCE
It is an offering that may be small but is of great symbolic value.
It expresses the sense of belonging to the Church and love and trust for the Holy Father. It is a tangible sign of communion with Him, as Peter’s Successor, and of attention to the needs of the most disadvantaged, for whom the Pope always cares.
ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD OF REV. KIERAN P. BURT
On Friday, 19th June, at 6.30pm, Rev. Kieran Burt will be ordained by Bishop Toal at St Joseph’s Church, Blantyre. Please remember him in your prayers as he prepares for the big day.
