AMBASSADORS FOR MARRIAGE, FAMILY & LIFE

Every parish has been asked to support and participate in the Diocesan Marriage, Family & Life Mission, one of the Diocese’s Priority Missions. Its vision is simple and vital: to strengthen marriage, support families, and uphold the dignity of every human life. To help bring this Mission to life locally, each parish is asked to identify parishioners to serve as:

· Ambassadors for Marriage – couples witnessing to the beauty of Matrimony

· Ambassadors for Family – families reflecting the holiness of everyday family life

· Ambassadors for Life – parishioners promoting the dignity of life from conception to natural death

If you feel called to serve your parish in this way, please speak with your Parish Priest or contact me David Harper at deaconharper@rcdom.org.uk

NEW PARISH WEBSITE

Work has started on our new parish website being built in parallel to the existing one. The switch over to the new site will take place soon and we hope you will find it more accessible and user friendly

SUNDAY 1ST FEBRUARY VOCATIONS TO THE PRIESTHOOD

There will be an Information Meeting for men who may be considering a vocation to the priesthood in Cathedral House, Motherwell at 7.30pm. Through prayer and reflection, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about priestly life and the process of discernment.

MONDAY 2ND FEBRUARY FRANCISCAN JUBILEE IN THE DIOCESE

The Franciscan Jubilee in the Diocese will begin with an opening Mass at 7.00pm at St John Ogilivie’s Church Blantyre, on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord and the World Day of Prayer. This Mass marks the opening of the Jubilee commemorating 800 years since the death of St Francis of Assisi.
