COLLECTION FOR SICK & RETIRED PRIESTS THIS WEEKEND
LENTEN CAMINO AND PILGRIMAGE
CULROSS TO DUNFERMLINE ABBEY. SATURDAY 7TH MARCH 2026
We are planning a day trip to Culross & Dunfermline Abbey during Lent. As in previous trips people will have the option of walking part of the Fife Pilgrim Way to St Andrews from Culross to Dunfermline
(8 miles) or taking the bus.
The bus will leave from St Francis at 8.30am then on to St Bridget’s dropping everyone off in the picturesque village of Culross, made famous as a location for the tv series Outlander. We will have the opportunity to explore it before heading for Dunfermline and the Abbey by bus or on foot.
Dunfermline Abbey was the original burial place for St Margaret of Scotland before her remains were moved to Spain. We will have Holy Mass in St Margaret’s RC Church in the town where some of her relics are preserved. Contact the parish office to reserve a seat. Price £20 and still a few places available.

LENT FAITH SHARING GROUPS
Our small faith sharing groups help prepare participants for Lent by reflecting on the readings at the Sunday Masses during Lent. Our two faith Sharing groups will each meet once a week for 6 weeks over Lent. Both groups are small informal and welcoming. If you would like to come along, or just want some further information, please contact Moira Cartwright on moiracartwright17@yahoo.co.uk or on 07838866827. The St Francis group meet on Tuesday evenings at 7pm and the St Bridget’s group will meet on Wednesday afternoons 12:30 -14:00 starting on Ash Wednesday. Everyone is very welcome.
ST BRIDGET’S & ST FRANCIS OF ASSISI CHURCHES DURING LENT
Our churches will be open from 2-3.15pm every weekday starting on Monday to allow parishioners to visit for private prayer.

The Beginning Experience are holding a weekend for those who find themselves suffering bereavement through divorce, separation or widowhood.
