GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS
The Interior Discovery of God’s Gift is the theme of Pope Leo XIV’s letter for this the 63rd World Day of Prayer for Vocations. He speaks of the day as “an occasion of grace in which we share some reflections on the interior dimension of vocation, understood as the discovery of God’s gift that blossoms in the depths of our hearts. Let us explore together the truly beautiful path of life along which the Shepherd guides us.”
Vocations Evening on Sunday 26th April in Cathedral House beginning @ 7.30pm and is open to men who are considering a vocation to the priesthood. This is an enquiry evening for men to gather and share with one another as they discern whether they have a vocation.
Vocation to the Priesthood or Permanent Diaconate?
Any man who is considering a calling/vocation to the Priesthood or the Permanent Diaconate in the Diocese of Motherwell should make himself known in the first instance to his Parish Priest. His contact details will then be forwarded to the Diocesan Vocations Director, Fr Charles O’Farrell, for those considering Priesthood, or to Deacon Bill McMillan, for those considering the Diaconate.

MAY AND THE MONTH OF MARY
FIRST HOLY COMMUNIONS
Please remember the pupils of P4 who will be celebrating First Holy Communion on the 9th & 16th May.
We will also be praying the Rosary every weekday in May in St Bridget’s Church at 8.40am starting on the 5th of May after the holiday weekend. All are welcome to come along and join in especially the children who might attend before school.

MASS FOR THE SICK
We are planning a Mass for the sick on Saturday June 6th at 1pm in St Bridget’s Church followed by soup and sandwiches in the hall afterwards. The sacrament of the sick will be administered at the Mass.
All are welcome.
